That is completely amazing! I had no idea a venemous snake would eat an insect. How ignorant am I? I've always assumed that any viper or elapid would only eat small rodents or reptiles from birth. Learn something every day. What is the common name and locality of this species?

Thanks. Common name is Lotiev's viper (named after Dr. Lotiev) and it's from the northside of the Caucasus at heights of 1200 - 1850 meter.
