It probably did mistake your finger for a worm, but I probably wouldn't pick it up like that. It is only holding on so it doesn't fall, and that is probably hurting its teeth. Still, you have a BEAUTIFUL tiger salamander there!

I also have a tiger salamander and he bites me all the time. i can't feel any teeth when he bites me so i dunno if he has them. would he have trouble with eating a pinky without teeth?
