This is the next step that I completed today on my bearded dragon enclosure. I added the lighting. Tomorrow I am going to see if I can find a screen or something to cover the bulb so as not to accidently burn the dragons, although I don't think he can reach. Better safe than sorry!
Oh, by the way, this is an old dresser, and I made the rocks in there. Now I just have to put the screen on and add the sliding doors. That will be next weekend!

I bought some polystyrene and styrofoam (that I had around the house), and cut them the way I wanted. I then sanded them down, took a knife, and carved out crevices and such to look natural. I then glued the pieces onto the back of the dresser, and to each other. I covered them with a thin layer of tile grout at first, then put four coats of tile grout (regular consistency) on. I then used a water based non toxic polyurethane. After each coat of poly, I covered it with a thin layer of sand (colored), and after it dried a bit, I would vacuum up the excess sand. I did this step 5 times. It was fun actually!

Well, now I have decided to refinish the outside of the dresser. Boy, is that alot of work! Just finished the stain today, will poly tomorrow. Then hopefully will put the doors on tomorrow also. Will post a pic of the finished product as soon as it is completed!

I actually just bought a socket with a mount that I just screw into the top of the cage. I got it at Home Depot.
