this was my first attempt at designing a terrarium. Its not quite done. Im going to ad some more fake plants and stuff. Its two stories. The bottom gives kind of an underground feeling (at least that's what I was going for). It's kinda messy because I spilled some calcium powder. What do you all think?
Nice cage, I imagine its heated by the heat lamp on top of the cage:-)

Thanks for the complements. I'm going to add some more plants and probably another hide or two to liven it up. Right now I have three of my breeder females in it but My patternless male is going to be added later (once the females get adjusted).

this was the pic i've been lookin for. I did something kinda lik urs, it gives the cage a lot more floor space. I used plexi glass though, and am just starting. I have a 50 gallon breeder tank, and i took a 9.5 in wide piece of plexi and siliconed it about 4 in off the bottom, this makes my humid/nest hide flush with it, so i don't need the lid i just slide it in and out. I cut a 2" hole in it where the box slides under it. I went a step further and put a 5 3/4 in, wide piece of plexi about 2 or 3 in above the 9.5 in piece, making it look like stair steps. I am trying to figure out what to cover them with. I had the idea of getting some of that foam that sticks that u get in the craft department and wal mart. I am now worried about my heat lamp melting the plexi? well i wil DEFF post picks when i'm done! Thanks for the inspiration!

snakemister101, Thanks for your complements. Your cage sounds pretty cool. I used the spray foam and i haven't had a prblem with it. It's used for insulation so it can handle extreme heat and cold. Also when its covered with tile grout it doesn't get as much heat. I thought about silicone to attatch the second story but I wound up making it removeable so I have easier access to the bottom for cleaning and stuff. Anyway thanks for posting and definately post some pics of yours when you finish!

yea, I tried to figure out how to make it removeable, but didn't think of anything. If I end up not likeing it (which I am VERY pleased with how the first shelf has come out) i can always cut the shelves out with an exacto knife. I jut put some supports in between the first and second shelf due to the second shelf was bowing and i hadn't even done anything to it. I put popsicle sticks and siliconed them into place. Then i used the "great stuff" foam in a can and put that around them, so it will look like boulders or rocks instead of a straight support. I like the supports in your setup, I tried to make mine as natural looking as possible, but the one wound up looking like a perfect sphere, go figure! I am going to be housing my 1.3 leo colony in there, and in about 6 months or so i will put in my two blizzard females i got the other day and i will have egg o rama then! LOL The only thing i'm not going to bother with is the background. I just got a desert background at the pet store and taped it to the back of the cage, it still looks good though.
Can't wait to post pics of the final product!

I'm going to post an updated pic soon. I added a bunch more fake plants to the back and the upper and lower levels, some more hides and stuff to crawl on, black aquarium backround on the sides, and a male patt. I have to take the second story out for a few days to do some reapairs to the supports, then I'll take some new pics!
Thanks to all for the complements!
