Found this spider down in our basement laundry tub. Anyone know what spider this is and if it's poisonous?

Looks like the common wolf spider to me.

dude...you keep saying that....but look at my post at what looks to be the same spider. wolf spiders are pretty big...and are typically very hairy. i think this was a mislabel...and has just spread due to the amount of species of lycosidae. i dont know..that may be a wolf...on closer look..its more distinct and larger then what i am trying to figure out.

Keep in mind that I am not a spider expert. I have never studied them. People who post scientific names rather than common names might as well be typing in Swahili. I am just saying that I see spiders like this everywhere around my house - small, big, hairy, smooth, sharp and defined stripes, and kinda blended stripes. They all seem to have the same overall appearance and temperament, so they are all just wolf spiders to me. They are all fun to play with, especially the silver dollar sized ones that like my basement. I have read 100 times that they can pack a pretty painful bite, but I have handled 100's of them and never once have been bitten that I know of.

Could be a Grass Spider also, judging by the markings. Then again, I don't know if they actively leave their funnel webs for any reason.

I'm not very familiar with spiders myself but this one was probably close to 2 inches long from front leg to back leg. About the only thing I ever see in our house are daddy long legs so seeing this guy was quite alarming.

It's a rabid wolf spider, they will keep the place clean of roaches, they're good to have around...unless you like roaches...they only come in cause there's food around.
