This was a pic in a old post with no comments. All the research I have done online about wolf spiders say they are hairy and large. I see these types of spiders in the house all the time. They generally the size of a quarter and are not harry. I always hear to them referred to as wolf I think because there are so many types of wolf spiders and because this guy is fast. HELP ME OUT!
Try looking up Parson Spider, & see if that comes close to what you have.

I am the one who took that picture. I took it a few years ago when I lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan. My apartment was full of them and I was trying to find out what kind of spider it was.
The spider is about the size of a nickel or quarter and runs very fast along the ground. It only stays on the ground, and usually in dark corners. It usually has no web. If anything, there is a small "mess" of a web built in the corner where it is standing.
I took this picture when the spider was running across the room on the carpet. They run very fast! Any idea what kind of spider this is?

I still think that it's a type of wolf spider. I will keep mt eye out till I see a picture just like it. In Florida we call them yellow stripe wolf spider, though we may be wrong. When I do see the exact spider, I'l take a picture and put it up, and I'll post you to let you know. When I found a scorpion in my house, i looked it up for a week before I found a picture of it. I don't work and I love to know everything there is to know about spiders and such so I'll be lookind avidly.
