TruffleGirl - "Mui-Mui" 1989-2005

TruffleGirl, who we also name “Mui-Mui”, was 15.5 years old. She passed away on 1/24/05; just three weeks after she was diagnosed with Kidney Disease (CRF). She stopped eating and then drinking in her last days. We gave her SQ fluid injection and tried force-feeding her but it did not help. She had gotten so weak that she keeps fallen down. It was so sad. It was obvious that she was starting to suffer. We have no choice but to make the difficult decision of putting her to sleep on 1/24/05. It was absolutely the hardest decision in my life. I can’t recall I cried so hard ever and I am a grown man. The day before she was put to sleep we took her to Santa Cruz to see the ocean. The last thing I whisper in her ear as she was being put to sleep was “ Say Hi if you recognize me in your next life, I will do the same.” A week later she was given a private/witness cremation in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountain on a clear and sunny Sunday morning. Her paw prints were taken before the cremation. Mr. Trent Thompson of Caring Pet Service let me put her onto the ceramic cremation tablet myself.
