This tank will be for collared lizards (which I don't have yet). I keep uromastyx and anoles now - no beardies.

im gonna be making a cage. imwondering what you used for your heat lamp spots there. im worried about burning the cage or some thing. what are those black rings that you have used and what type of mesh. thanks

The mesh is 1/4" hardware cloth. The black rings are actually the rings from electric stovetop burners. I just drilled holes around the edge, cut the mesh to size and screwed it all into the hardboard. I have dome lights that sit over the holes - the burner rings are raised enough at the edge to keep the domes from shifting.

Also, the cage itself is just a glass aquarium - it's only the top that's hardboard.
