Seems I have a red claw scorpion aka tanzanian red claw or Pandinus Cavimanusis. Although similar to a red claw emperor it does not grow as big and the "red" (caramel if you ask me) is not just the claw color. The legs and stinger are the same color, and another difference is the cream colored belly in case anyone else is curious. Fortunately the requirments are the same so my assumption on terrarium set up was correct.
