nice pic! i didnt n=know that those big daddies(or should i say small daddies) were yellowish colored on the body.

Mikaso is right. I was curious about the myth as well, and found that a myth is all it is. They don't produce any type of venom.

Very true. Actually, they are not even siders. They aare arachnids, but belong to their own group.

Actually, this picture isn't a daddy long legs! I can't remember the name, but I think it's like a Huntsman or something like that...I might be confusing the name but definately sure a daddy long legs has two body pieces like other spiders and *is* part of the spider family whereas this critter is not.

This is an "harvestmen", a common name for the opiliones. Opiliones are not spiders but belong to the arachnida class. The opiliones do not have poison glands nor fangs. They do not have silks glans neither.
"daddy long legs" are spiders who belong in the "pholcidae" familly.
